Only 18 days flying to obtain his ppl(h)
“Our congratulations go to Ross (pictured) who with no former experience,
obtained his ppl(h) and all his written exams in June and July 2009. Dennis
Kenyon also needs congratulating for having the energy to get Ross through
the entire course in such a short period. It was actually only 18 days flying,
accompanied by intensive ground school lessons at our facilities at
Henstridge Airfield, Somerset.
Cost?
We hired the Enstrom to Dennis and Ross at the self fly hire rate of £200 per
hour plus VAT. Ross looked after all Dennis’s needs each day, and it was
therefore a very cost effective way of obtaining a ppl(h). With, it must be
stressed, a legend, in flying. Who wouldn’t be very proud to announce that
his instructor was Dennis Kenyon?
Since obtaining his ppl(h), Ross has flown the Robinson 44 with our head of
flight training, Mike O'Donoghue, and will shortly be taking a type rating on
the Robinson 44.
