WOW! I’ve done it now, all 5 hours....
What an awesome experience! We did a bit of everything on the PPL(H) syllabus, even including engine off landings, vortex ring, crazy 360deg turn autorotations and simulated IFR (with ‘foggles’, which is very tiring!). I even managed a 45 second controlled hover!! if only I had the spare cash to carry on lessons! Think i might be calling a favour from nigel maggs to have a go in the 109 now....
Thanks so much for recommending Vanguard, it has been such a good
experience – we have been briefing in the pilots office, taking off from
the airfield here and landing at west coker – I got a good aerial view of
my house yesterday too! I have had a total of 15 hours briefing and
debriefing plus the 5 hours flying – it’s worked so well.
Cheers,
Andy Ramage
